Little Money will Change Your Life

Good evening. Buffett Imai is here.
As you know, I invest in stock in America.
Why?
Because I think it’s the best way to increase my fortune.
And because I believe another thing more than that.
It is ‘compound interest’.
99 percent of people don’t understand about it well.
Even I, who has experience of working at a finance company, know only a few people who take advantage of this ‘compound interest’ when they invest in stock.
People in this country, or all over the world, are luck of the idea of compound interest.
I guess the gap between the rich and the others will not get smaller.
But don’t worry about it.
It’s not impossible for us to make our fortune with compound interest.
Save one million yen and invest it in stock. 10 percent per a year.
For example, let us imagine that you save one million yen every year.
The target stocks yield is 10 percent.
The profit of the first year will be 100,000 yen while you study about stocks and make an account for it.
You may think “That’s it? Only 100,000 yen? It doesn’t worth making such effort.”
But it’s not true.
This 100,000 yen will change your future, your life.
In ten years, that will be 1.85 million yen.
Imagine that you saved 1 million yen every year.
In 2nd year, your profit will be 2 million yen and in 3rd year it will be 3 million yen.
You can also obtain a yield of 10 percent and the “10% of profit” become profit of the next year, and your profit increase more and more every year.
If you continue this, your asset will be “18,530,000 yen” in ten years.
In other words the profit you receive 11 years later will be 1,850,000 yen (10% of 18,530,000 yen).
On the other hand, if you don’t do anything at all, your profit will be nothing.
The gap will be bigger and bigger.
What if you simply save money for 30 years…?
“I don’t want to take a risk”
“I’m afraid”
“Simply saving money is the best”
What’s going to happen to these people?
If you invest as I told you before, your assets will be 180 million yen.
You are rich.
There are many stocks you can get 4 percent of profit. So it means, every year, 7,200,000 yen will come to you with doing nothing.
Just imagine that you get 7,200,000 yen without working.
You don’t have to work for getting money anymore.
This could happen if you start investment.
On the other hand, those who simply save money for 30 years, their assets will be 30 million yen.
That’s great. A bunch of money.
But 30 million yen is not enough for you to live when you get old. And even if you started investment then, the return of the investment is limited. (I don’t think those who never tried investment for 30 years would be interested in it after all though) It won’t change your life.
You would be still working to get money and count on pension to live.
Inflation will go on climbing because government are trying to improve it
When inflation go on climbing, prices go up.
It means the value of your 30 million yen will be smaller.
“The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.”
The situation like this sating could be happened.
Don’t think like “I don’t try because anyone does.”
What’s important is to think about ‘what you want to be’ and ‘if you want to invest for it.’
Don’t worry about making mistakes at first.
To risk is to make mistakes.
You don’t need to worry about the loss of 300,000 or 500,000.
Later in your life, when you have more assets, more money will move.
So, you need to be able to think like “I don’t care about this amount of money, I can get it back soon.”
If you lost money, you work even harder and save more money and invest.
I think like “I’m going to get extra 300,000 yen as I lost it.”
I believe this is how you get the way how rich people think.
I will keep on investing.
My first target is 10 million yen.
And I will have 1 billion yen of asset by the age of 43.
And I want to do something good for the world with the money someday.
Investing is interesting.
If you are interested in it, why don’t you try it? You can start by investing a little money.
